The NFL is crazy. The Arizona Cardinals started the year 1-6, but since then have won four of five games, mostly without much help from their quarterbacks. Kevin Kolb's return was really shaky in the first half, but the rust apparently wore off in the second half and the offense looked good. In the end, we got what we wanted -- a victory.
It wasn't easy, as it took a crazy decision by Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett calling a timeout just before the ball was snapped and kicker Dan Bailey hit what would have been the game-winning 49-yard field goal at the end of the fourth quarter. The redo would fall short and to the left, so the Card were left with life.
More after the jump...
They won the overtime coin flip and never let Dallas get the ball.
Thanks to a screen play, Kevin Kolb's ability to elude the pass rush and the little guy, LaRod Stephens-Howling's ability to make game-changing plays in space, the Cards came away with a 19-13 win.
For your viewing pleasure, here it is again. Over at SB Nation AZ you can read a little more commentary on the play itself.
