NFL Team Destruction/Construction, Day 14: Eagles Out, Rams And Vikings Holding On

Today there was no funny stuff. The Eagles are gone. I suppose that means that the Cardinals could take Kevin Kolb (or even Michael Vick, for that matter. The Rams are just barely staying alive and it appears that one Rams fan is trying to keep the team going. I know that we can finish them off.

Likewise, the Vikings are also in striking distance.

Eulogy: Philadelphia, your city is so brotherly in name only. You boo Mike Schmidt. You don't appreciate Donovan McNabb, who only led your team to the NFC Championship game a gazillion times. Plus, he really had no offensive talent to throw to. But now you have two quarterbacks that fans wish their team could have and you are seemingly raking everyone over the coals for Kevin Kolb, the object of our affections (for many of us on ROTB). For this reason have you been struck down by the Redbirds, just like in the 2008 NFC Championship.

For his killing strike, crisco219 gets three actions today.

Each day, the teams will earn or lose points based on your actions, so the more people we get in on the game, the more pointless enjoyment we can have.

Each day, you have two actions. You can destroy or build. In the comments, simply write your actions:

  • Destroy (team name of your choice), Build (team name of your choice)
  • Double destroy (team name of your choice)
  • Double build (team name of your choice)

Each "destroy" subtracts a point from the team. Each "build" adds a point to the team's total. Once a team reaches zero points, it is eliminated from the game and the next day with the game update, it will receive a brief eulogy.

The player whose "destroy" is the eliminating move will get a congratulations and a mention in the update and an additional action for the next day, giving him/her three actions for a day.

The teams currently stand as such (in parentheses are the actions from the previous day):
