It did not take long after the news broke that the NFL and NFLPA agreed to extend the current CBA for 24 hours, attempting to perhaps have a new deal in place, before the reactions and opinions began. Fans, the media and players alike have commented on the meaning, on predictions they have and their possible reasons.
Our very own Steve Breaston reacted via Twitter to the news in a way that only he could:
O yeah, ratings just aren't as good as "the decision" yet huh? (opens Oreos) RT @kentsomers: Multiple reports of a 24-hour CBA extension.
That is not all. Darren Urban from azcardinals.com informs Breaston that the extension could go on as long as a week. To that, Stevie B responds:
I got doughnuts 2 RT @Cardschatter: @SBreaston15 They're talking a possible 7-day extension. Hope you have a lot of Oreos.
Maybe he is right. Could be that this supposed labor unrest is an evil ploy to keep us paying attention to football even longer than normal. The league is looking for more eyeballs and seeks to take over all other professional sports leagues. And he is prepared to sit and watch with his treats.
Sounds like a plan for me. Oreos and doughnuts and staying glued to the TV. Anyone else with us?
