The Philadelphia Eagles are now set to make their selection as we continue with the ROTB NFL Mock Draft. We all saw the meteoric rise of Michael Vick last season. We also saw him take a beating, as Philly gave up 49 sacks on the year. Kevin Kolb lost his starting job because of Vick's play while he was out with a concussion and Vick lost time later in the season. Offensive line is a concern, but the Eagles need some help on defense because they showed an inability keep opposing offenses off of the field.

Today's GMs are me for the writers and Cory Williams for the community. Pick are after the jump. tell us what you think.

The New Orleans Saints are now on the clock. Picking for them will be Psknapp (community GM) and Jessesb (writer GM). Email me your picks and explanations by 11PM AZ time tonight. You know the rules -- no trades, no drafting guys that have been drafted.

Cory Williams:

Tyron Smith, OT, USC

Philadelphia's biggest need is cornerback. They need a guy to complement shutdown corner Asante Samuel. Too often, the Eagles were unable to stop the opposition's passing attack -- something that used to be an Eagles strength. Unfortunately for Andy Reid and the Philadelphia brass, Colorado CB Jimmy Smith is off the board. What should the Eagles do in this situation? They decide to draft Tyron Smith, OT out of USC, of course. Smith is a project. He's a guy who could turn into an elite talent, or he could be a bust. In the late first round, how often do you get a sure thing anyway? Protect that offensive production!

Me:

Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa

The team here is torn between a tackle like Derek Sherrod to protect Vick and a defensive line standout. In the end, it comes to the fact that Clayborn is higher on the Eagles' draft board than Sherrod. Adding the 6-3, 281 lb DE will be a big boost to the Philly defensive front. He plays with a great motor and wears down opposing offensive linemen. His presence will hopefully help shore up the defensive issues that the Eagles have had recently.
