Arizona Cardinals 2011 Schedule To Be Announced At 4PM AZT

In spite of the current NFL lockout and mediation/litigation that is happening, the league is set to announce the game schedules for the 2011 season. This will allow us to soon know the Arizona Cardinals 2011 schedule. We already know who their opponents will be and which teams will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium and which will be on the road. The NFC West is slated to face the NFC East and the AFC North.

Here is how the matchups shape up:

Home games: St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants,Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

Road games: St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals

The official league schedule is set to be announced Tuesday at 7PM ET (4PM AZT). The announcement will take place on NFL Network.

Aside from the biggest elephant in the room known as the lockout and whether we will lose actual games this season, what are your hopes for the schedule?

The largest concerns I think will be what weeks the team is on the road, considering there are several cold weather cities they must play. The earlier they play them, the better off they will be (we remember the snow game).

Just as important is when they have to play those road games. Too often west coast teams are put at a disadvantage by having to play an early game on the road. we will see if the league has looked at that issue. The number suggest a definite competitive imbalance.

Lastly, do the Cardinals get any prime time games? It would surprise me, but there is that possibility.
