Time for some links, including stuff about the Lockout talks going to Court, Whiz talking about QBs and the Draft, a Kiper Mock, the Suns losing another close game and injuries for the ASU football team. As I'm typing this, the D-Backs are in the 9th inning with a 6-4 lead over the Cubbies.

Ken Whisenhunt describes a tradition unlike any other | ProFootballTalk

Word From the Birds Blog - Whiz talking quarterbacks
The mocks are coming fast and furious now (OK, at least at a steady pace) and with the idea Von Miller will be selected before the Cards pick is gaining steam (at this point, I also tend to believe it). The way things break down, QB Blaine Gabbert has been popular as a remaining candidate — along with Patrick Peterson — and guys like Mel Kiper and Todd McShay are saying the Cards will/should take Gabbert. I’ll stick with the idea of Peterson in such a scenario. Coach Ken Whisenhunt was on ProFootballTalk Live today and while host Mike Florio didn’t ask Whiz directly if he’d take a quarterback — smartly — Whiz did end up talking about drafting a young QB. We can talk smokescreens and such, but you can parse Whiz’s words:

Kevin Kolb vs. QB drafted in the 20s - NFC West Blog - ESPN
John Clayton's take on whether the Philadelphia Eagles should trade Kevin Kolb describes as "good" the chances of an NFC West team acquiring the quarterback. "While it seems unlikely the Eagles can get a first-round pick in 2011 because the time is running out to get a CBA done before the draft, a first-round pick in 2012 still works," Clayton wrote.

Phoenix Suns rally but Chicago Bulls hang on
At this point, there is so little solace available to the Suns in their final days of a fruitless season.

Arizona State football really needs a leader now
Tuesday, Omar Bolden fired off this tweet: The test of life is harder than any midterm or final I've taken here at ASU. I'm a strong individual . . . but this is heavy! Heavy indeed. An MRI revealed the Arizona State cornerback had suffered a torn anterior-cruciate ligament in his knee that will require surgery next week. The news was crushing for Bolden, who nearly declared himself eligible for the 2011 NFL draft, and heartbreaking for a team that is talented enough to win the Pac-12 South Division.

ASU football: Omar Bolden, T.J. Simpson both diagnosed with ACL tears, will have surgery next week
With a solemn face and a sense of disappointment, Arizona State head coach Dennis Erickson announced some of spring's tougher news: two key players are out with ACL tears. Senior cornerback Omar Bolden and senior receiver T.J. Simpson will undergo surgery next week and continue rehab.
