Calais Campbell, Comedy Writer/Actor?

The NFL lockout continues on and the players keep on having nothing to do other than work out. However, not every player in the league is just sitting around not thinking of what to do. Some are thinking ahead about what to do if there is no NFL season and what they might do after they are done with football. Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell was on ESPN Radio talking to Jon Kincaide. the topic? Not football. It was his non-NFL career hope.

He wants to be a comedy writer and actor, hoping to be on both ends. He got to do some intern work recently, shadowing the likes of Will Ferrell for FunnyorDie.com.

How did he come up with this idea? He used to write skits with his brother when they were younger.

Kincaide asked him which is harder -- playing football or writing comedy scripts? His answer? Writing (but that came with a caveat -- he has been playing football since he was six so it comes pretty easy to him now).

Funny moment in the podcast? Jon Kincaide calling Ken Whisenhunt "a handsome man" and pointing out that Jay Feely would try to "weasel his way" in front of the camera or microphone.

Campbell revealed who the funniest guys are on the team. They are both defensive backs -- Michael Adams and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. I can definitely believe that DRC is one. Heck, I have to laugh at the idea of a grown man kicking it with a Dora the Explorer or Toy Story backpack.

So my question to you is this. Which will come first, we see CC play on the football field or we see something he writes?
