Not a lot to report for today, but there is a link where one of ESPN's bloggers said that Kolb could make the Cardinals Super Bowl contenders. With what we would have to give up for him, he better.

Kevin Kolb makes Cardinals Super Bowl contenders? - ArizonaSports.com
The lockout may still be in full effect and the Arizona Cardinals still don't have a quarterback, but that isn't keeping one ESPN writer from saying they could be Super Bowl contenders. That writer is Jeffri Chadiha and he feels if the Cardinals can pull off a deal for Kevin Kolb they'll be just as good as they were with Kurt Warner under center.
Arizona Sports News:
Daniel Hudson's complete game leads Diamondbacks to win
Daniel Hudson had been anticipating this game for almost a year. It was his first trade, but it didn't take long for him to feel the need to prove his worth, to demonstrate what a mistake his former team had made. So when the opportunity came Friday night, the right-handed pitcher didn't disappoint. Hudson worked a complete game, only allowing three hits through 119 pitches against the organization that drafted him, the Chicago White Sox, guiding the Diamondbacks to a 4-1 win in front of 26,053 at Chase Field.
Phoenix Mercury blow lead in home opener, stay winless
It was never going to be easy; this transition. The Mercury brought in a few new players as well as changes to its system. A system that so far has looked great at one point and not-so-much the next. So for now, the Mercury will have to be just good enough, execute just enough times to win. That didn't happen Friday night in the Mercury's home opener against the San Antonio Silver Stars at US Airways Center. The Mercury are still winless after the first three games of the season after its 101-99 loss in front of 12,274.
ASU baseball faces big turnover, possible postseason ban
Arizona State baseball is feeling NCAA fatigue. Quite understandable considering the program has coping with investigation, penalties and appeal for 3 1/2 years. And that the worst, at least on the field, could still be coming.

With five regular-season games left, the Rattlers can clinch the West Division title Saturday night with a victory at home against the rival San Jose SaberCats.
Mark Grace's show on 2001 Diamondbacks worth watching
The increase of television sports networks has inspired some head-scratching programming. We have cameras in radio studios recording hosts talking into their microphones. We have fishermen contemplating bait casting and bowlers romanticizing the 7-10 split. We have quality shows, too, such as when HBO's sports arm does "Hard Knocks" during NFL training camp. Add Fox Sports Arizona's "Mark Grace Championship Theater, Presented by Fry's" to the mix.

It looks like another comeback from shoulder surgery isn’t going to happen for Chad Pennington. At least not this year.
Texas reportedly "would love" to have Matt Leinart back | ProFootballTalk
When writing Houston’s post lockout checklist on Friday, I considered including backup quarterback as an area to look at. Dan Orlovsky is due $2.75 million in 2011, but he stayed ahead of Matt Leinart all last year. Kubiak seems to like Orlovsky enough and the post was getting too long, so I just ignored the position. Apparently the Texans are open to bringing Leinart back. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle writes the team "would love" to do just that. McClain just doesn’t see the scenario as particularly likely.
