It was just a few days ago that we in the community were discussing the possibility that the Arizona Cardinals could trade cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie straight up to the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Kevin Kolb. There were obviously mixed feelings about it, mostly considering the risk involved. You have a quarterback some believe will be very good and at the same time that people think is overrated. On the other hand is DRC, a guy with all the talent in the world, but lacks focus. Plus, trading him leaves a lot of uncertainty in the Cardinals secondary at cornerback.
Local radio personality and Cardinals radio broadcaster Ron Wolfley presented the question -- The Cards trade DRC for Kolb, but to counter it they sign a starting cornerback like Ike Taylor (who played for the Steelers) in free agency. Do you do it now?
The question is now posed to you. If the Cardinals can target a DRC replacement in free agency, would you be okay with the trade to bring Kolb over? If so, should Ike Taylor be the guy? He is, after all, very familiar with Ray Horton and the Cardinals coaching staff loves to bring in old Steelers players.
I'll crunch the numbers later to compare the two corners, so I turn the forum over to you all. Fire away with the comments (but let's not turn this somehow into a discussion about the Packers).
