Tuesday's practice for the Arizona Cardinals was not at the practice fields next to the NAU Walkup Skydome. As they do most years, they go to Coconino High School to practice one night. Thanks to the Twitter feeds of our local Cardinals writers and insiders, we can know what happened. Hit the jump to read what Kevin Kolb, Larry Fitzgerald and the rest of the crew did in practice.

Kent Somers (whose practice report you can also read):

Looks like Joey Porter might have a vet's night off, not in pads.

With Porter out Sam Acho playing ROLB.

So judging by tonight, Acho is ahead of Schofield.

Deuce, Spach are out too. They don't look hurt.

Spach has a calf strain. Not serious.

Darren Urban (you can read his notes):

DeMarco Sampson with a great catch deep to beat Marshay Green in tight coverage. Sampson impressing in camp.

Cards trying hard to find pass rush answer RT @mikejurecki w/ Joey Porter not practicing Sam Acho getting reps ahead of Schofield @ ROLB.

Fitz makes another Willie Mays-style deep ball catch. Inevitably, one highlight catch a practice.

Mike Jurecki:

Kolb threw 45 yds in the air for a Max Komar TD catch.

w/ Joey Porter not practicing Sam Acho getting reps ahead of O'Brien Schofield @ ROLB.

Deuce Lutui not practicing tonight.

...

Interesting observations are the fact that Acho is playing ahead of Schofield. I'm not sure what to read with the situation with Deuce. These practices in which he is working on conditioning are either part of the weight loss plan or they are signs of more disappointment. It appears that he has a long, uphill battle if he is to make the team coming out of camp.

Just a couple of days away from preseason game number two...bring on the Packers!
