A bitter sweet game for the Cardinals. The first team offense came out looking pretty sharp for only a few weeks practice against a polished team. Overall Kolb played a good game, but did get lucky with a few passes. Most notably the ridiculous but standard catch from Fitzgerald and the near interception by Nick Collins.

Beanie Wells showed his 2009 form with two very memorable runs. Laying out AJ Hawk on a big gain and though will it was a small gain, in my opinion it was a great run when Beanie shoulder chucked 3 time Pro Bowl safety Nick Collins to the ground.

Our suspect line showed much improvement and allowed Kolb some time to pass and opened some nice stretch plays for Beanie.

The first team defense also gave GB all it could handle. While we all know it was a mostly unplanned game, I think we can finally be optimistic about this years D as polished Green Bay team struggled against a still developing Horton defense.

There was some very sloppy moments with several dumb penalties. Worse, two injuries. A Skelton sprain and worse yet a probable (maybe?? info is still coming in) season ending (shortening) injury to RB Ryan Williams. Our blessings go out to him as we all hope for a speedy recovery!

Notes: Housler had a few good catches against the 1st team Packers D that gives optimism for his future. Stephen Williams struggled with several missed catches, though he did nab a TD for some redemption. Rookie 7th round pick DeMarco Sampson had a good outing and increased his chances to make the roster. Schofield made some noise today, hopefully we can see some first team action soon!

Until next game!
