So, the weather got the best of the fans on Tuesday afternoon. Players had begun to arrive to the practice field when the staff signaled that the players needed to head inside. It wasn't raining, but there was some lightning. Any other year it would not be a problem -- the public would be able to go inside the dome. However, with the stadium renovations going on, this year it is a no go.
Things cleared up, but I can understand the team wanting to take precautions for the players and fans. I also understand the frustration of many fans, many of whom travel hours to catch one practice for nothing. Since I was relegated to movie watching with my sons Tuesday afternoon, hit the jump for some of the observations made by those media members that were allowed to go in and report.
Cardinals practice indoors again today. Bad deal for the fans, who can't attend.
A semi-live "run" session, defense stuffs first three plays
Whoa, Ryan Williams just faked a DB out of his compression shorts. Impressive
NT Dan Williams lookin every bit the run stuffer
Lots of passes hitting the ground, QBs to blame for most. To be expected
Skelton thread nice ball to Jim Dray.
Now receivers are dropping balls, including TEs.
Don't want to read too much into practice, but DeMarco Sampson is a polished route runner
And Sampson beats Peterson deep but drops it
