Getting a win will always help out, in real life and for those of us who use the Cardinals in Madden because a few guys got a little bit of a ratings increase after the win over the Panthers.

Today, ESPN released the ratings that will be available online tomorrow morning for those of of who own the game to download. We will take a quick look at some of the changes after the jump.

The Cardinals as a team got a slight increase to their overall team rating. They moved up from 73 to 74, although I haven't seen much of a use for this rating besides using it as a Power Ranking of all the teams. Just going into franchise mode does show that the team overall ratings mean nothing in regards to how good the team actually is.

As for some of the people who saw their ratings increase, most of them were slight but there were increases nonetheless. The inside linebackers Daryl Washington and Paris Lenon each saw boosts to their ratings going from a 74 to a 75 and from a 78 to an 80 respectively. Jeff King was boosted from 69 to 73, Early Doucet went from a 72 to a 73, and Beanie Wells went up from 75 to 76.

As for the decreases, Adrian Wilson and Richard Marshall each saw decreases. Adrian only went down from a 92 to a 91, and Marshall went from 81 to 79. I am not sure why Marshall went down, I thought that he had a decent game, but it could be because he is the third corner right now behind Jefferson (who saw no change to his ratings from what I see).

Some Practice Squad guys in Marshay Green, Quan Sturdivant, and Isaiah Williams were also added back to the roster, and Max Hall was placed on Injured Reserve.

That is all for this weeks roster update. Feel free to discuss what you think of the update in the comments section.

Again, when I post these depends on how many moves are made for the Cardinals during each week. If not much happens, I'll just leave it alone so remember that.
