Arizona Cardinals Practice Squad Almost Complete

The Arizona Cardinals have, at least for now, set their 53-man roster. Naturally that can always change. Injuries can happen, players could become available because they are let go by their teams -- you never are technically with a "final" final roster because it can still always change.

But with the 53-man roster set, the Cardinals have put together an almost complete practice squad. As of early morning, I knew of three of these players. There are now six on the squad and the final two spots that are allowed could soon be filled as well.

The Arizona Cardinals practice squad so far is comprised of:

WR Isaiah Williams

DT Ricky Lumpkin

C Ryan Bartholomew

CB Marshay Green

OT D.J. Young

WR Brandyn Harvey

Williams, Lumpkin and Bartholomew were previously announced. Green and Young were part of Cardinals training camp and Green was a member of the practice squad late last year. Many believed that he would make the 53-man roster, but he did not and then the Cards claimed cornerbacks Korey Lindsey and Crezdon Butler off waivers.

Harvey was an undrafted player in 2010 but finished the season on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad. He played at Villanova. At 6-4, 205 lbs, he has the size to play receiver but does not have killer speed (his 40-time was 4.60).

With the two slots left, it is expected that the team will add recently cut players DE Ronald Talley and LB Quan Sturdivant, who was the Cardinals'sixth round draft pick this past April.

Sturdivant and Talley both initially were on the 53-man roster but were waived with the addition of running back Chester Taylor and corners Lindsey and Butler.

For them to be added to the PS, they will have to clear waivers first. We will know later today if this is what happens.
