Since the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers play on Monday rather than Sunday, they did not have to release their first injury report until Thursday, rather than the typical Wednesday. For the Cardinals, quarterback Kevin Kolb, cornerback Greg Toler and rookie cornerback Jamell Fleming all missed practice.
Fleming is having issues with his back, while Toler is still dealing with hamstring issues related to recovering from his knee surgery last season. Kolb still has no timetable for his return from his rib and shoulder injuries.
Limited in practice were Darnell Dockett (hamstring), tight end Jim Dray (knee), tight end Todd Heap (knee), safety Kerry Rhodes (back), safety James Sanders (knee), fullback Anthony Sherman (knee) and guard Adam Snyder (quad). Kent Somers noted that Snyder did not look good coming out of the open part of practice.
Those who fully practiced with some injury were Calais Cambell (quad), Michael Adams(hamstring), Quentin Groves (hamstring), Paris Lenon (ankle), O'Brien Schofield (knee), John Skelton (ankle) and Reggie Walker (head).
For San Fran, tackle Joe Staley missed due to an illness. No one else missed practice. Frank Gore, Mario Manningham, Alex Smith, Tavares Gooden and Andy Lee practiced fully with some sort of injury,.
