After a 7-8 record last week against the spread, it is time again to give you our picks against the spread. The first game on the schedule involves our very own Arizona Cardinals, as two of the bigger surprises of the first quarter of the 2012 season are facing off in the kickoff game for Week 5. The Cardinals hope to be 5-0 and the St. Louis Rams seek to improve to 3-2. After being underdogs each of the first three weeks, the Cardinals covered each week with their wins. In their first game where they were favored, they did not cover.
The game is listed right now on Bovada with the Cards as being favored at -2.
This line matches the type of game the cardinals typically play. Aside from the game against the Eagles, they have not won a game by more than seven points since 2010.
Now...for the pick.
Darnell Dockett is possibly a scratch again on the defensive line. Kevin Kolb gets another test with a short week and a road game. The Rams have been giving up yards on the ground like crazy. That could be good news for Ryan Williams. However, after Ryan Tannehill carved up Arizona to the tune of 400+ passing yards, Sam Bradford has to be smiling at the chance to do that as well.
Our pick?
We like the Cardinals and will give away the two points.
