This week's debate question, brought to you by Gillette, is about something that pains the hearts of Arizona Cardinals fans. It deals with the quarterbacks in the league. It asks, WHICH QUARTERBACK IS LEADING THE PACK THIS SEASON, AND WHY?
The debate continues on Facebook if you would like to discuss it with other fans.
However, based on what we have seen recently, you have to tip your hat to the man we jealously hate -- Tom Brady. He just continues to play at a level we have never even seen here, even when Kurt Warner played.
Others you can add to the list that are right up there -- Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.
If you look at the last three weeks, there are few playing better than Cam Newton, but that is just the last three weeks.
And then you have the Arizona Cardinals.
Between John Skelton and Ryan Lindley, they have thrown two touchdowns and 14 picks. Kevin Kolb faired better with eight TDs and three picks, but has been out since the end of the Buffalo game.
Of course, the position will have to be addressed yet again this offseason. What should Arizona do? Kolb's contract makes it hard to bring him back, especially concerning the issues with durability (his fault or not -- the dude is tough, but has been so unfortunate with the types of injuries he suffered) it is just too much money.
The draft is said to be have a weak QB pool.
Trading is always risky business because no one tends to trade quarterbacks that they feel can win with -- usually.
Then there is the free agent route, which is far impressive.
Here is the list of the soon to be free agents:
Luke McCown - ATL
Joe Flacco - BAL
Tarvaris Jackson - BUF
Tyler Thigpen - BUF
Derek Anderson - CAR
Jason Campbell - CHI
Josh McCown - CHI
Bruce Gradkowski - CIN
Drew Stanton - IND
Brady Quinn - KC
Pat Devlin - MIA - (Ex)
Matt Moore - MIA
Chase Daniel - NO
David Carr - NYG
Matt Leinart - OAK
Charlie Batch - PIT
Byron Leftwich - PIT
Kellen Clemens - STL
Rex Grossman - WAS
Sounds like an inspiring bunch.
Ugh. That list makes me think we have to roll with Kolb and pray for a full season of him. How much faith do you have?
