I think it is established that the Arizona Cardinals are probably going to target offensive line help in the NFL Draft in April. Some mock drafts have the Cardinals selecting guard David DeCastro, others Jonathan Martin, other Riley Rieff. While a few projections have the Cards taking a receiver or a pass rusher, offensive line seems to be a trend.
Pro Football Talk released their very first mock draft projections, and they too have Arizona adding offensive line help, but their selection is different than all the others for the spot in the first round.
They project that the Cardinals will select Georgia OT Cordy Glenn with the 13th overall pick.
Glenn fits the Russ Grimm mold at 346 pounds with an efficient game.
PFT is right in the analysis. Grimm loves big guys. There are reports that the coaching staff really likes him. However, based on everything we have come across, selecting him at 13 is high. Unless there is no one who wants to move up, they could grab Glenn later and pick up a later pick. They would get the same guy and another player.
I certainly would not be upset with the selection of Glenn, just at that spot, unless no one was willing to move up.
What do you think?
