Th free agency period has more or less been a quiet one for the Arizona Cardinals. Yes, they attempted to land Peyton Manning, but other than than, it has been signing Adam Snyder, re-signing Levi Brown and re-signing a few of their own players.
They are yet attempting to bring back another player from last season, one with some experience. It appears that the Cards are in contract talks with reserves defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday.
He tweeted this in response to fan here locally:
We have been talking...RT @semisweet4: @therealholliday Vonnie will u be a cardinal again next season!
— Vonnie Holliday (@therealholliday) March 25, 2012
Holliday was brought to the team in the trade that sent Tim Hightower to the Washington Redskins. He had 16 tackles in 2011 and deflected a pass, in addition to a couple of QB pressures.
More importantly, he brings professionalism and a veteran influence to the defensive line.
What do you all think? Should Holliday be bright back?
