Now that the Arizona Cardinals have placed the franchise tag on defensive end Calais Campbell, fans know for sure he will be here in 2012. What is left to be seen is whether or not he and the team can come to an agreement on a long-term deal before the deadline ends in July.
The Cardinals don't particularly have a great track record with getting franchise players signed.
We can all probably remember Karlos Dansby and how he ended up leaving as a free agent after two years of the franchise tag.
On the other hand, they extended Larry Fitzgerald, Adrian Wilson and Darnell Dockett without a ton of issues.
But there are some that are worried that a deal will not get done for Campbell.
The question to you all is: how confident are you? I get the feeling that a deal will get done, but it won't be as fast a process as we hope.
Where do you stand? Do you think that the deal will be done? Are you worried at all? Do you not trust the team?
