Good News For The Cardinals: Redskins Could Be Out Of Peyton Manning Sweepstakes

As the world waits for the decision by quarterback Peyton Manning, the Arizona Cardinals and their fans hope that Manning wants to throw the ball to Larry Fitzgerald and bring glory to the desert. However, there are about a dozen teams interested in the future Hall of Fame quarterback. One such team is the Washington Redskins.

However, the Skins may already be out of the running.

Chris Russell of ESPN 980 in Washington recently reported that Washington doesn't appear to be a likely destination for Manning for a variety of reasons. Most notably seem to be the potential cold weather gameday environment in Washington as well as the proximity to brother Eli Manning in New York.

While this does not mean that Peyton is headed to Arizona, the reported elimination of one team helps the Cardinals' chances.
