Video: Arizona Cardinals Defensive Tackle Nick Eason Spars With Fan

If you listened to the Arizona Birdgang Podcast this week, you may have heard me mention something about a challenge issued by Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle, Nick Eason. More specifically, Eason was on Twitter early last week to ask if there was anyone out there willing to take him on for a few minutes in the boxing ring.

A Cards fan named Christian Carrillo took Eason up on his offer and met him last Monday at Glove Game Boxing in Scottsdale to duel. The best part about it all is that they allowed me to come in and video tape the whole match.

In case you don't already follow Nick Eason on Twitter, be sure to do so. His challenger, Christian, can be found here.

The sparring match consisted of body shots only and lasted four rounds at two minutes each. Needless to say, by the time they were done, both of them were pretty exhausted.

Eason stepped into the ring at 6'3" tall, telling us that he was down to his offseason weight of about 285 pounds. Christian, on the other hand, was only about 5'8"-ish and weighed around 175 pounds. However, Christian did have a background in boxing, so he was able to use that to his advantage.

Eason stated multiple times that although Christian was much smaller than him, he could still pack quite a punch. Christian was not intimidated by Nick's size at all and seemed rather comfortable taking him on.

Thanks to Seth Pollack for doing the video editing. Also, I apologize in advance for the quality, as I had to shoot the action with my phone. Without further adieu, I give you Nick Eason vs. Christian Carrillo:

As you may have seen towards the end of the video, Eason likes to challenge random people to do battle with him all the time. That said, if you are willing to take him on in the ring, go ahead and challenge him on Twitter. I am sure he would be more than happy to take you on.
