The Draft is over, and teams are now signing the players who did not go in the draft. We have seen some reports of who has been picked up, one of the fan posts on our fine site goes over some of the guys the Cards have been linked to. I'm still waiting to see the official list the Cardinals put out though.
Also, the Coyotes are up 2-0 in the playoff series against Nashville. Way to go Yotes.
Arizona Cardinals News:Arizona Cardinals take unorthodox approach in 2012 NFL draft
Over the three days of the draft, the Cardinals' hierarchy tried to balance filling needs, finding value and adapting to a changing game. It likely will take a few years to judge the team's performance, but coaches and officials left Tempe headquarters Saturday evening satisfied. Their methods over the three days of the draft weren't necessarily orthodox, nor greeted with rave reviews from some fans. And the Cardinals are fine with that.

What I liked: The Cardinals appeared to resist reaching to fill needs. The approach left Arizona with a huge need for an offensive tackle heading into the third day, but with no second-round choice entering this draft, the Cardinals lacked flexibility. They stayed patient amid criticism and drew high marks for landing Mississippi tackle Bobby Massie in the fourth round. We don't know whether Massie will become a good player, but we do know some had him rated as a potential second-round choice, and Arizona got him in the fourth.
Arizona Cardinals NFL draft class receives passing grades from pundits
Maybe it's futile to attach grades and evaluations to teams only days after the NFL draft when it could be years before we really know how well or badly the players are going to perform or fit a system. Then again, it can't be any worse than sweating over mock drafts only to see Seattle coach Pete Carroll pick up a phone and blow them to smithereens. So The Heat Index passes these evaluations along with a warning: Don't take this stuff too seriously.
Word From the Birds Blog | Gorbachev with Cards gear, and the UDFAs
As mentioned the other day, Cards president and pilot Michael Bidwill gave a ride to former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev from Phoenix to New York Sunday after Gorbachev gave a speech at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Not only did Gorbachev get a ride, but Bidwill gave him a Cardinals shirt — which makes sense, its color being red and all. Picture below. Meanwhile, the Cards have started to collect undrafted free agents. To see some of the guys coming in as reported around Twitter, just check out my timeline. The Cards won’t announce their list until it is completed, and it won’t be completed until all the guys sign their contracts. Sometimes a player will agree to play for a team and then change at the last second, not yet having signed anything. So teams are reluctant to say anything until they know for sure.
Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd excited to play together | ProFootballTalk
Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald got what he wanted on Thursday night when Arizona used its first-round draft pick on receiver Michael Floyd, and both men expressed excitement about playing together after the pick became official. Fitzgerald, who like Floyd is from Minnesota, told the Arizona Republic that he thinks Floyd has exactly the right combination of skills to succeed in the NFL.

Phoenix Coyotes take 2-0 series lead on Nashville Predators
Despite winning a first-round series and stealing Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals, the Coyotes believed they had yet to play their best hockey. Sunday's performance in Game 2 might have not revealed the peak of their potential, but it was one of the Coyotes more complete efforts during the playoffs and that delivered them a 5-3 win in front of 17,217 at Jobing.com Arena for a 2-0 series lead over the Nashville Predators.
Wade Miley, Arizona Diamondbacks offense delivers big in victory over Miami Marlins
Unbeaten Wade Miley held the Miami Marlins hitless until the sixth inning, and Jason Kubel drove in three runs to lead the Diamondbacks to an 8-4 victory Sunday. Miley (3-0) gave up one hit and an unearned run in 6 1/3 innings to lower his ERA to 1.29. He also singled and scored the game's first run. The retractable roof over the Marlins' new ballpark averted a rainout, because showers fell all day. But even inside, it was a gloomy afternoon for the home team, and boos rained down from the crowd of 34,918 during Arizona's five-run sixth inning.
Arizona Rattlers deliver complete win in rout of Georgia Force
A 61/2-hour trip to Georgia didn't phase the Rattlers, who scored touchdowns on their first two possessions on their way to a 60-27 victory over the Force on Sunday in Duluth, Ga.

Tracking the confirmed undrafted rookie signings | ProFootballTalk
Many NFL teams will not formally announce undrafted rookie signings until Monday or perhaps even Tuesday because they’re waiting for players who’ve agreed to terms to pass physicals and officially put pen to paper. Some teams have announced made announcements, though, and a handful of sleuthy reporters have tracked their teams’ signings down.
An early word on 2012 NFL draft grades - NFC West Blog - ESPN
Good morning. The 2012 NFL draft flew by, I thought, and now it's time to pass along tentative, highly qualified assessments on how teams fared.
First impressions: 2012 49ers draft - NFC West Blog - ESPN
What I liked: The 49ers, having already kept together one of the NFL's most dominant defenses in free agency, made a concerted effort to improve on offense. Their first three picks went for a receiver (A.J. Jenkins), a running back (LaMichael James) and a guard (Joe Looney). The team is now in better position to succeed with quarterback Alex Smith and running back Frank Gore. Likewise, if Smith struggles and age catches up to Gore, the 49ers are in better position to succeed offensively with younger players at their positions. The team also fared well in trading back to acquire additional picks, including for next year.
First impressions: 2012 Seahawks draft - NFC West Blog - ESPN
What I liked: The Seahawks, after getting much bigger in their first two seasons under Pete Carroll, added welcome speed to their roster in this draft. Pass-rusher Bruce Irvin, chosen 15th overall, had the fastest 3-cone time for any player at the NFL scouting combine. "If you look at it, our slowest guy was an offensive lineman at 4.85 (seconds in the 40-yard dash)," Carroll said. "There's great speed in this draft for us, and that's really exciting across the board, and it's going to help our special teams enormously."
First impressions: 2012 Rams draft - NFC West Blog - ESPN
What I liked: The Rams added 10 players, including a league-high six among the first 96 selections. More than any team, they were in position to get quantity and quality, a luxury won when the team traded the second overall choice to Washington before the draft. And with four first-round selections waiting over the next two drafts, the Rams should continue getting younger and more talented under coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead.
