ROTB Roundtable: Best draft class, NFC West, and Nike uniforms

New, comments

As Free Agency slows to little more than a halt, the ROTB Writing Staff took their shot at answering three currently "trending questions".

Hit the jump for their answers, and don't forget to answer the questions yourself in the comments below!

1) In honor of all the draft talk that has been happening recently, from recent years, which Cardinals draft class was the most successful as a whole?

Tyler Nickel: Recent is a bit of a loose term, so I'll give it to the 2004 draft class. When you get players like Larry Fitzgerald who is a future Hall of Famer and then add in Karlos Dansby, Darnell Dockett and even Antonio Smith, you had yourselves a good draft. If you're looking for a more recent draft class, I'll go with 2008.

JoeCb1991: 2004 because of Fitz and Dockett.

Jess Root: It has to be 2004. The got Larry Fitzgerald, Darnell Dockett, Karlos Dansby and Antonio Smith out of that draft. Very, very good.

Jesse Reynolds: I agree with everyone else. 2004: Best WR in the NFL, top 5 3-4 DE, Flight Risk Dansby and Antonio Smith. Last years may turn out to be a great one also...

2) Out of all four teams in the NFC West, which team do you think has had the most successful off-season so far?

Tyler Nickel: Unfortunately, I would have to give it to the 49ers. I think Randy Moss still has something to give in the right situation and they also signed Mario Manningham. They have a nice receiving corps over there now. Throw in Brandon Jacobs and this team has a good chance at a long playoff run once again.

JoeCB1991: The Rams because of all the draft picks they fleeced from the Redskins.

Jess Root: You would have to think that the Rams did. They killed it with draft picks and made some decent moves. They got a proven (albeit overrated) coach, as well.

Jesse Reynolds: Tough to say. The Rams improved with more draft picks and some key FA signings. The 49ers picked up weapons for their secondary and kept their entire defense from last year. Seahawks got new jerseys... I'll go with draft picks and the Rams.

3) Nike recently released their new uniforms for all the NFL teams. What do you think of them? Do you think they did too little? (And specifically, what do you think about the Seahawk's new look?

Tyler Nickel: Honestly, the Nike uniforms had such a small impact, that I really don't care. I am not a fan of the little metal belt buckle on the front because it looks too much like a fashion statement. This is football, not a modeling event. Leaving the uniforms pretty much as they were was probably the best course of action, though. As for the Seahawks' new look, I think it beats what they had before, but I still dislike their team.

JoeCB1991: I like that not much changed for the Cardinals, the uniforms were good the way they were after they came out in 2005 and changing the look just for the sake of change is pointless. As for the Seahawks, it looks better than the neon green jerseys they had in 09, but I would have preferred something that looked more like what they were back in the 90's with the silver helmet and pants though.

Jess Root: My reaction? Meh...They are essentially the same, so great. As for the Seahawks? Why is it that the Pacific Northwest inspires neon? Don't like them, but it really doesn't matter.

Jesse Reynolds: I think the new Jerseys are technologically (if you can call it that) cool but they look the same which is kind of boring. I like the new Seahawks jersey, to me they look like big targets. Our defense will have a great time knocking out their Nike billboard/neon green signage jerseys.
