After a couple weeks of deliberation, Mario, Joe and I headed back to the studios on Monday to record another episode of the Arizona Birdgang Podcast. This time, we had a special guest call in and give us some very interesting answers regarding his experiences so far in the NFL.
To see who that player was and what he talked about, along with some other topics we discussed, hit the jump.
Scott Wedige (@Wedige71) was our guest on the show and he had plenty of interesting thoughts to share regarding his time in the NFL so far. Coming out of Northern Illinois University as an undrafted free agent, Scott discussed the process that led him to select the Cardinals and what he thinks he can bring to the roster. After that, he talked to us a bit about his experience in the rookie minicamps, which just wrapped up this past weekend.
Along with talking to Wedige, we discussed the new contract that Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell signed this past week. Was it a fair deal? What should be expected of him now that he has a new deal?
Lastly, we go into a bit of a rant regarding athletes on Twitter. This is an ever-evolving subject that everyone seems to have an opinion on. But how should a rookie trying to make the team act while using the social media outlet? It is detrimental to his chances of making the squad?
