"Arizona Cardinals: Season In Focus" will be an hour-long special aired on ABC 15 Sunday (that’s May 27) immediately after the telecast of the Indianapolis 500. That’s approximately 12:30 p.m. Arizona time.

The Mercury made defensive mistakes throughout their Saturday home opener, rotating late at times -- or not at all -- and leaving open players in the paint and outside of it. The Los Angeles Sparks took advantage. The Mercury allowed the Sparks to score 56 points in the paint as well as 23 second-chance points in a 99-88 loss at US Airways Center.

The Minneapolis City Council finally completed the contentious process for a new Vikings Stadium on Friday, approving the plan for a new stadium at the current Metrodome site. The stadium will cost $975 million to build, with the city of Minneapolis chipping in $150 million and the state adding another $348 million via taxes on electronic charitable gambling games. The club will contribute $477 million towards construction costs as well.
