On Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals will begin the fourth leg of offseason work, the last until training camp begins at the end of July in Flagstaff, Arizona. It started with the voluntary offseason workouts at the team practice facility with the strength and conditioning coach. That was followed by rookie minicamp and then four weeks of voluntary OTAs.
The Cardinals had every single player participate in OTAs.
However, the three-day minicamp is mandatory and costly if players do not attend. They can be fined $60,000 per day that they miss.
Under the new CBA, players can be on the field for a maximum of 3 1/2 hours each day of the minicamp - and only 2 1/2 hours can be devoted to full-speed activity. In addition, the second practice of the day has to be a walkthrough with no helmets or shoulder pads allowed.
Here is the schedule for the Cardinals, although, no practices, except for Fan Fest, are open to the public.
Tuesday: Practices from 10:00AM - 12:00 PM and 2:45 PM - 4:30 PM
Wednesday: Practice from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and then again 6:45 PM - 8:30 PM (that one is at University of Phoenix Stadium); Fan Fest will be held during the evening practice. Gates at University of Phoenix Stadium open at 5:30 PM and an autograph session for children ages 12 and under will take place prior to the start of practice from 6:15-6:40 PM.
Thursday: Practice from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
As far as things we have heard, there is no reason to believe that a single Cardinals player will not be present.
