Projected Arizona Cardinals Offensive Starting Lineup For 2012 Midseason

Darren Urban from the official Arizona Cardinals website posted his early projections on who would be in the starting lineup on both offense and defense. On offense there were no huge surprises.

However, with that in mind, let us look at our thoughts on the offense and who will be starting -- not at the start of the year, but halfway through.

Urban looks at Week 1 and thinks that the offense will come out against the Seattle Seahawks looking like this:

QB: Kevin Kolb

RB: Beanie Wells

FB: Anthony Sherman

WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Roberts

TE: Todd Heap

OL: Levi Brown, Daryn Colledge, Lyle Sendlein, Adam Snyder, Jeremy Bridges

Since injuries are random, I won't consider them into the equation. So what I project for the midpoint in the 2012 season is based on performance, not injury.

Here are mine -- you will note that they don't change a ton.

QB: Kolb -- I've been accused of being a "Kolb-knobber." I am a fan. I was glad they got him and hope he is the answer. But this projection is because I believe in the end he gets the starting job and that -- based on performance -- he will not get benched. An injury is another story, but since I am ignoring that for these purposes, I expect Kolb to be taking snaps.

RB: Ryan Williams -- Here is where I make a change. While Wells might not have a bad year, I think Williams will be a big addition, especially with the versatility he potentially gives in the passing game.

FB: Sherman -- Duh...

WR: Fitzgerald, Roberts -- I don't expect any changes. As Urban noted, the team loves Roberts. He should have a solid year this year.

TE: Heap -- Assuming his health, his ability to block is what keeps Housler coming off the bench.

OL: Brown, Colledge, Sendlein, Snyder, Bobby Massie -- We know what Jeremy Bridges is. He isn't a solid starter. Massie will crack the lineup once he has learned what he needs to.
