You may have caught my post yesterday regarding the Cardinals being just four wins away from breaking the 500 franchise victories threshold. They would become the 10th team in NFL history to accomplish that goal, which, judging by how long the Cardinals have been around (since 1920) it seems like they should have already done so.
But that isn't the only milestone that the team or it's players are set to reach.
Superstar receiver Larry Fitzgerald is about to surpass a personal milestone of his own.
Pro Football Reference cites that Fitz is just 330 yards from scrimmage away from breaking the 10,000 yard mark. Now, barring some sort of unforeseen and unfortunate injury, he will be able to surpass that within the first few games.
The best part about it all is that he has done it in a Cardinals uniform. It's not too often that a player is able to pass those types of marks all while playing for the team that drafted him.
So congrats to Fitz. With his skillset, there is no doubting that this won't be the last time we see him break a record.
