As we continue looking at possible milestones for the Arizona Cardinals or the players on the team, we now turn our attention to kick returning. The franchise record is held by Ollie Matson, who scored six touchdowns between 1952 and 1958.
LaRod Stephens-Howling has three career kickoffs returned for scores.
He, however, did not score one in 2011. he had two in 2010 and one in 2009.
Current rules make it more difficult to score off of kickoffs, but LSH is as dangerous as anyone in that role. He certainly could do it, but he has to stay healthy and do something he hasn't done yet in the league.
Based on his potential impact in games, if it were up to me, he wouldn't return kicks. Kickoffs have almost become a waste, and there are several players that could return kicks. I would personally rather see his role expanded on the offense rather than used in kickoffs.
But what do you all think? Will the Hyphen reach the record books?
