There's truly nothing like listening to one of your favorite announcers call a big moment of a game in which your favorite football team is participating in. We have heard Dave Pasch do so time after time on the Cardinals broadcast. If you are an Arizona Sports fan, then you no doubt remember the walk-off hit by Luis Gonzalez that was called by Joe Buck.
Coincidentally, Adam Rank of NFL.com bashes Joe Buck to death en route to his rankings of the top six NFL calls ever. The Arizona Cardinals managed to tie down two of the spots on the list.
The first announcer to make the list was Gabe Trujillo, the Spanish broadcaster for the Cards. His call on the Cardinals'upset over the Dallas Cowboys ranked third on the list.
Although Rank did not specify which game it was, one could assume that it was the Cardinals defeating the Cowboys just last year after LaRod Stephens-Howling took a screen pass to the end zone in overtime. Here is a link to the highlight video of that game, in case you missed it.
On top of that, the Cardinals were apart of the number one ranked announcer call of all time. It was a rather insignificant victory for the Cards, but it did prevent the Minnesota Vikings from reaching the playoffs in 2003. Here is the video called by Paul Allen:
This is easily one of my favorite calls of all time, so I am glad to see it get the recognition it deserves.
