As you could probably tell by my first two picks (Patrick Peterson and LaRod Stephens-Howling), I am looking to build my team around speed. I already have what I feel are the best two playmakers in space that the Cardinals have. They will be potent on offense. Defensively, Peterson can cover, and LSH will be an elite rusher because all you have to be is quick to get around blockers who can't use their hands.
I will continue using speed as a philosophy as I take my third player in the flag football draft. I take linebacker Daryl Washington. Washington has size (compared to other flag football players) and speed. He can play in coverage, he will be quick enough to rush the passer, he will be quick enough to do the blocking and has the hands to be a dump off option in a pinch, in addition to the speed to be able to run with the ball.
The big question now by many -- why not Larry Fitzgerald? Fitz is the best in the game at what he does in the NFL. But his physicality doe snot translate as well in flag football. Is there a place for him on my team? I hope so. But I am looking for speed and versatility so far.
So I have PP, LSH and D-Wash. What do you all think so far?
