Since all anyone nationally seems to be talking about with the Cardinals is the competition between Kevin Kolb and John Skelton, it would make sense that locally about half the interviews done are about the same thing. Arizona Sports 620 had offensive lineman Daryn Colledge on the air and spoke to him about the QB battle.

As a good teammate would, he did not say anything against either player. Hit the jump for some of the quotes.

About going with either guy:

"Both guys are extremely talented," said Colledge. "We think both guys can win the game and I think we're happy with whichever one [is starting] and we're happy to have the other one backing him up.

"We want guys that want to compete and guys that want to win. We think both guys can do that."

On Kolb:

"I think he was put into a terrible situation last year. We had four practices until we were in a game and he's taking a lot of shots and got some injuries and that's hard, especially for the quarterback."

On Skelton:

"Skelton knew the offense and was able to come in and manufacture some drives that put him in a great position to make it a competitive thing. I think that's a hats off to Skelton, but it's going to be a no-hold barred competition all camp."

It is important to remember that just because Skelton is on the map for the job, it does not mean that Kolb stinks. It really is a testament to what Skelton was able to do, despite the statistics.

What do you think? Does this sound like a guy that has any particular preference? I don't.
