Among the many debates that fans have had this offseason, the one involving rookie receiver Michael Floyd has come up a few times. Will he start in 2012? Will he start by Week 1? When will he start?
Perhaps it is a rehashing, but Darren Urban on the official team site broke down the first round draft picks and when they started under Ken Ken Whisenhunt. There are a pair to start in Week 1, but there is a common thread.
We know that Levi Brown and Patrick Peterson are the only ones to do it. Peterson ended up starting because Greg Toler tore his ACL in the preseason.
What many forget is that Oliver Ross was the starting right tackle, but went down with a season-ending injury to open the door to Brown.
what does this tell us? That Floyd will not be starting Week 1 unless Andre Roberts gets hurt.
It also confirms this -- Ken Whisenhunt really doesn't like starting rookies.
