The Arizona Cardinals had two practices on Wednesday. One was the morning walkthrough and the last one was the night scrimmage at Lumberjack Stadium. Kolb was in the workout to keep his leg warm and from tightening.

Troy Erickson from SB Nation Arizona was present for Ken Whisenhunt's press conference in the afternoon in preparation for the night scrimmage.

Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt is looking forward to tonight's practice, as it will be a good opportunity for the coaches to get in some more evaluations, and some more playing time for the guys. He says the practice tonight "will be a little bit more like a game situation," and "we really need that after last Saturday," sensing some frustration from Coach Whisenhunt as a result of the outcome of the Red and White practice.

When the evening rolled around, the word was that the scrimmage was spirited. The offense moved the ball much more effectively. Darren Urban tweeted that Kolb looked good. However, he was intercepted by Patrick Peterson and William Gay. He led a touchdown drive.

John Skelton threw for a touchdown to tight end Jim Dray and ran for a touchdown.

Urban noted during the practice:

- Kolb said his quad "held up fine" - he was not limited at all - but he knew everything else took a backseat to the part at the end. "The intensity was through the roof."

- Safety Adrian Wilson and running back William Powell each came out of the practice after what looked like some sort of leg injury for each. Neither looked serious.

Now we get to see what type of offensive execution the team will have later, when the team plays the Saints on Sunday.
