On August 1st EA Sports released it's list of it's Quarterback Ratings.

On the top of the list are the usual guys; Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees etc., but where do the Cardinals rank?

Kevin Kolb: He comes in as the 37th best QB in Madden. His overall rating is a 75. His accuracy stats are, 85 on Short throws, 72 on medium length passes, and 69 on deep passes. His toughness is actually middle of the pack, considering he was plagued by injuries last year.

John Skelton: He ranks a little lower than Kolb does as the 45th best Quarterback on Madden. His throw power far outweighs that of Kolbs having a 96, where his accuracy are worse with the exception of his deep throw accuracy, rating a 75 in short throws, 72 in medium, and a 77 on longer throws.

And then you have Rich Bartel as the 83rd best and Ryan Lindley as the 89th. Interestingly enough, Lindley is our best passer for medium to longer throws, at least in the game of Madden.

While I agree with the ratings for our QB's, I disagree who are ahead of them. For instance, Kyle Orton who plays well to start, but falters late in the season is an 80, rookies such as Andrew Luck and RGIII are 84 and 83 respectively. David Garrard and Shaun Hill are ahead of Kolb as well. While these guys are ahead of Skelton too there are 3 guys who I definitely don't think should be ahead of him..Byron Leftwhich, Charlie Batch, and Chad Henne are also rated better than Skelton.

So what are your thoughts? Should our QB's be higher upa Micr, are they perfect, or should they be lowered? You can also download a Microsoft Excel version of all the rating for every QB.
