Cardinals Vs. Saints: How The Newcomers Did

The offseason was a quiet one for the Arizona Cardinals on the free agent front. That is, once they could not land Peyton Manning. They signed Adam Snyder, James Sanders, Landon Cohen, William Gay and Quentin Groves. All were under-the-radar signings. how did they do in the first preseason against the Saints?

William Gay was memorable for the wrong reason.

He made one tackle on the night, knocking Darren Sproles out of bounds. However, he spent most of the first drive blocked by a wide receiver and then was his lowlight, when he was juked by Mark Ingram near the endzone.

Snyder struggled early on. He allowed pressure in pass protection in his time on the field. His charge was to blcok Sedrick Ellis, who knocked Kolb out of the game in the third drive.

Sanders was active with four solo tackles and two assists.

Quentin Groves made some noise. He had four very loud tackles and was very active on the field on defense an on special teams.

Cohen did not show in the stat sheet at all.

Can you see any of these guys starting for 2012? I don't think so...yet.
