Arizona Cardinals continue adding to their defensive staff

A new report has another pair of coaches being connected to the Arizona Cardinals.

USA TODAY Sports

It seems like every day there is at least one new coach connected to Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals coaching staff. The latest two are for the defensive side of the ball. According to Mike Jurecki, Arians and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has brought on Kevin Ross to coach the cornerbacks.

Ross played 15 years in the league and played his college career at Temple. He was there for Arians' first year coaching there. He picked off 38 passes in his career as a solid defensive back in his career. As a coach, he has been an assistant defensive backs coach for the San Diego Chargers from 2007-2009 and then as a defensive backs coach for the Raiders in 2010.

The other coach is what Pete Roussel reports on coachingsearch.com. He reports that the Cards are bringing in James Bettcher as a linebackers coach, specifically the outside linebackers.

Bettcher also has worked under Arians. He was a special assistant to the head coach for the Colts last season, where Arians was acting head coach and offensive coordinator when Chuck Pagano was being treated for leukemia.

Bettcher also was the linebackers coach for NCAA D-I FCS New Hampshire Wildcats. In 2011, he served as the defensive ends coach for the Ball State Cardinals. From 2007 to 2009, the North Carolina Tar Heels had Bettcher on staff as a defensive graduate assistant, following a year at the same position for Bowling Green in 2006.

Here is a rundown of the coaching staff so far, based on reports:
