Washington Redskins exec Morocco Brown to interview for Cardinals GM post

He is the only other known candidate other than in-house candidate Steve Keim.

USA TODAY Sports

After the Arizona Cardinals fired Rod Graves from his post as general manager, the team only brought up one name for the position -- internal candidate Steve Keim. While Tom Heckert came up, that report was proven to be untrue. However, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted on Wednesday that the Cardinals would be interiewing Morocco Brown of the Washington Redskins.

According to Washington's team page, he has been there five seasons as director or Player Personnel, working previously with the Chicago Bears.

He is responsible for coordinating the advance scouting of Redskins opponents, participating in all Draft meetings, and the evaluation of all professional leagues for potential free agents and trade prospects.

A Washington Post article says that he "oversees advance scouting of the Redskins' opponents in addition to evaluating college prospects and potential NFL free agent and trade targets."
