According to Washington's team page, he has been there five seasons as director or Player Personnel, working previously with the Chicago Bears.
He is responsible for coordinating the advance scouting of Redskins opponents, participating in all Draft meetings, and the evaluation of all professional leagues for potential free agents and trade prospects.
A Washington Post article says that he "oversees advance scouting of the Redskins' opponents in addition to evaluating college prospects and potential NFL free agent and trade targets."
