Fantasy Football Results: Week 6

The Cardinals vs. 49ers game did not turn out as most Arizona fans would hope.

However, in the world of fantasy football, the Cardinals didn't fare too badly.

Here's a look at the fantasy results of a few Cardinals players, as well as the top scorers at each position around the league.

Cardinals:

Larry Fitzgerald - 15 Points: Despite his hamstring injury, Fitz pulled through for his fantasy owners. Bringing in 6 receptions for 115 yards and 1 TD, his only low point of the day was a fumble (Which came at the worst possible time, mind you). The play all fantasy owners must have been thrilled about was his 75 yard reception from Palmer early in the 1st quarter.

Andre Ellington - 14 Points: The rookie from Stanford had a huge day. Rushing 7 times for 56 yards, he showed his versatility by also bringing in 5 receptions for 36 yards. Ellington may have secured the starting job with this performance, as well as a new spot on many fantasy rosters.

Michael Floyd - 10 Points: Floyd finally had the game many fans had been expecting, converting 5 receptions into 44 yards and a TD. The Palmer-Floyd tangent is looking pretty good, and it finally produced something on Sunday.

Honorary Mention: Carson Palmer - 15 Points

League-wide:

QB) Cam Newton, Carolina - 30 Points: Newton had a big day with the Panthers, leading them to a 35-10 victory over the Vikings. Newton's owners subsequently had big days, as he led all QB's in the league (fantasy-wise), going 20/26 for 242 yards and 3 TD's, as well as rushing 9 times for 36 yards and 1 TD.

RB) Knowshon Moreno, Denver - 28 Points: Peyton Manning received more than enough support on the ground from Moreno, who rushed 15 times for 42 yards for an incredible 3 TD's, as well as bringing in 7 receptions for 62 yards. Moreno helped fuel the Broncos to a 35-19 victory over the Jaguars.

WR) Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay - 23 Points: Jackson seems to have clicked well with the newly appointed heir to Tampa Bay's offense, Mike Glennon, as he brought in 9 receptions for 114 yards and 2 TD's. Unfortunately for the Buccaneers, it wasn't enough to get the win, as they fell to the Nick Foles-led Eagles, 31-20.

TE) Vernon Davis, San Francisco - 30 Points: If you watched the Cardinals game, you already know more than you need to about this performance. 8 receptions for 180 yards and 2 TD's. That's all that needs to be said.

K) Shaun Suisham, Pittsburgh - 15 Points: The Steelers had a good day on Sunday, recording their 1st win against the Jets. It was also a good day for their kicker, as Suisham notched 12 of the Steelers 19 points.

Defense/ST) Kansas City Chiefs - 27 Points: If you started the Chiefs defense, chances are you came away a much happier person. 3 interceptions and 1 TD helped them maintain their title as highest scoring fantasy defense, as well as keep the Chiefs undefeated.

(Note: Fantasy points are based off of standard ESPN.com scoring rules. These points should correspond to most fantasy sites.)
