After a 27-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday that was an overall good team win, we can point to teammates that were particularly instrumental.
The easiest one to pick out is the rookie running back due of Andre Ellington and Stepfan Taylor. Ellington was already set to handle a larger role in the offense, particularly in the running game, but Taylor got a larger role due to Rashard Mendenhall's toe injury.
The two of them combined for 29 carries for 192 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of the numbers came from Ellington's 154 yards, which included an 80-yard touchdown run. However, Taylor shoulder most of theload in the second half as the Cards tried to burn the clock.
The performance was very 49ers-ish in terms of running the ball so much.
They weren't the only teammates to perform well.
Head coach Bruce Arians also praised defensive linemen Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett for their play as well, noting that they played most of the game on Atlanta's side of the ball. Campbell picked up a sack during the game.
On a smaller note, receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd also showed their worth as teammates. Both made key blocks to spring Ellington on his long touchdown.
Any other teammate performances of note?
