Arizona Cardinals: Reviewing running backs, defense, Carson Palmer in the win over the Atlanta Falcons (podcast)

Revenge of the Birds Radio looks at some of the important things that came out of the team's Week 8 win.

Tuesday night meant it was time for Revenge of the Birds Radio to hit the air for the latest show. This time it was following an Arizona Cardinals victory, which made the tone of the show much more positive.

RedC, Seth and I talked about our initial takeaways and the feeling that we were left with as the team enters the bye.

What were the major topics?

1. The running game: How surprised were we about the performance of Andre Ellington, and how impressive was it. What about the play of Stepfan Taylor? What about when Rashard Mendenhall returns?

2. Carson Palmer set a career-low in passing attempts in a game he started and finished. It tied a low for passing attempts by a Bruce Arians' coached team, and it matched the attempts in a game in 2001(!). Is that the recipe for success for Arizona? Can they sustain it? Should Palmer be more Alex Smith?

3. The defense: It has been fantastic in their wins, but have given up over 30 points in each of their losses, which include three within the division. How good is the defense really? What do we expect moving forward?

Listen and give your thoughts.
