NFL Fantasy Football: Start and Sits for Week 10

With bye weeks rolling in, many of you avid fantasy football players will be searching the waiver wire for bye week replacements as you prepare your lineups for Week 10. Here is some (hopefully) helpful advice ahead of the weekends action.

Philip Rivers should be a must-start today.

Teams on the bye: New England, Kansas City, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns

Notable players: QB Tom Brady. RB Stevan Ridley, Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell, Willis McGahee, Jamaal Charles. WR Dwayne Bowe, Danny Amendola, Kenbrell Thompkins, Josh Gordon, Donnie Avery. TE Rob Gronkowski, Jordan Cameron.

Start: QB Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers

Rivers has been playing at an MVP-type level so far this season, bringing new life back to San Diego. At home against the Denver Broncos who have allowed over 27 fantasy points to quarterbacks on the road, Rivers has the perfect match-up to post one of his best stat sheets of the year so far.

Sit: QB Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

Without his top two receivers for the majority of the season has seriously hindered the Falcons' play-off hopes, and Matt Ryan plays against a Seattle team who are notoriously tough against the pass. Avoid starting Ryan if you can pick up a viable spot-start on the waiver wire, such as Rivers, or perhaps Terrelle Pryor.

Start: RB Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans

Following a monster game against the St. Louis Rams last week rushing for 150 yards and two scores, he couldn't ask for a better match-up the following week than a visit from the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars, who have one of the worst defensive units in the league.

Sit: RB Ben Tate, Houston Texans

Probably will be everyone's favourite flex play this week with the absence of Arian Foster, but Tate is up against one of the most stout defenses in the league in the Arizona Cardinals. With a rib injury as well, Tate shouldn't be in foor a big gainer today.

Start: WR Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are beginning to play better week on week, especially on offense, which is good news for Antonio Brown owners, who is seeing increased targets.  They play the Buffalo Bills who have been very poor against the pass on the road this season.

Sit: WR Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers

The Panthers' resurgence I believe will end this week in Candlestick against a 49ers team beginning to hit their stride. Smith has been hit and miss so far this season for fantasy owners, so don't expect a big game.

Start: TE Garrett Graham, Houston Texans

No team in the NFL is worse at stopping tight ends than the Arizona Cardinals, allowing a league high in yards, touchdowns and fantasy points to opposing tight ends, Garrett Graham could be a nice sleeper option this week if you have Jordan Cameron or Rob Gronkowski on the bye.

Sit: TE Jared Cook, St. Louis Rams

Posting his first decent fantasy start since week one last week, Cook has not been good at all in fantasy football, and there are better options available on the waiver wire like Garrett Graham, or Jordan Reed.
