Week 11: Fantasy Results

The 11th week of the 2013 NFL season proved to be a successful one for the Cardinals, both on the field and in the fantasy world.

Scott Cunningham

A couple Cardinals players ranked highly among the top fantasy scorers, leaving both their fantasy owners, and Cardinals fans, very pleased.

Here are the fantasy results from three Cardinals players, as well as the top league performers, for the week:

Arizona Cardinals:

1) Michael Floyd - 25 Points: Floyd was the third highest scorer among WR's, as well as the top fantasy scorer among Cardinals players. Bringing in 6 receptions for 193 yards and 1 TD, Floyd may see a rise in pickups in the coming weeks.

2) Carson Palmer - 24 Points: Palmer turned out his best performance of the season, going 30/42 for 419 yards and 2 TD's (And no interceptions!). This resulted in him being the second highest scoring fantasy QB for the week, only behind Steelers QB Ben Rothlisberger.

3) Larry Fitzgerald - 12 Points: Converting 6 receptions into 61 yards, it was his 14 yard TD in the opening drive that drove Fitz's score up. With this performance, he continues to have a solid fantasy year.

League-wide:

QB) Ben Rothlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers - 31 Points: Completing 29 out of 45 attempted passes for 367 yards and an impressive 4 TD's, Rothlisberger did just enough to give his team a 37-27 win over the visiting Detroit Lions.

RB) Bobby Rainey, Tampa Ray Buccaneers - 34 Points: Rushing 30 times for 163 yards and 2 TD's, as well as bringing in 2 receptions for 4 yards and another TD, resulted in Rainey leading all players in fantasy scoring for Week 11. Going forward, Rainey may be a solid pickup, as he seems to have locked up the Buccaneers starting RB job for the rest of the season.

WR) Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions - 29 Points: The star receiver brought in 6 receptions for 179 yards and 2 TD's. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to give his team the win, as they fell by 10 points to the Steelers.

TE) Garrett Graham, Houston Texans - 17 Points: The Texans receiver welcomed QB Matt Schaub back to the starting role by bringing in 7 receptions for 136 yards and 1 TD. However, just like Johnson's performance, it wasn't enough, as the Texans were defeated by the Oakland Raiders 28-23.

Defense/Special Teams) Cincinnati Bengals - 26 Points: For the second week in a row, the Bengals had the highest scoring fantasy defense in the league, and for the second week in a row, I was very happy with my decision to start them. Two TD's contributed to this great performance by the Bengals.
