NFL injury report, Week 10: Daryl Washington returns to practice, Arian Foster still out

A look at Thursday's injury report for both the Cardinals and Texans.

As the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans both approach their matchup on Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium, the health of their players is still something to look at. The Arizona Cardinals had linebacker Daryl Washington return to practice after missing Wednesday with an illness. However, the offense may be looking at Nate Potter at left tackle as starter Bradley Sowell missed for the second straight day with an illness.

Offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin told the media (via the team's official website) that Sowell will likely be back at practice on Friday, but that Potter possibly could still end up starting depending on how Sowell does.

Sowell, receiver Brittan Golden and right tackle Bobby Massie did not participate in practice. Golden is still nursing a hamstring injury, while Massie was out with what was listed as not injury related. That naturally raises questions that will not get answered right away.

Washington was limited, as was John Abraham (shoulder), Rashard Mendenhall (toe), Frostee Rucker (calf), and Rob Housler, who was a new addition to the list with a groin injury.

Linebacker Matt Shaughnessy was still listed with a knee issue and fully participated.

For the Texans, running back Arian Foster still did not practice. They were also without linebackers Tavares Goodman (not injury related) and Mike Mohamed (hamstring).

Running back Ben Tate (rib) once again was limited in practice, as well as linebacker Darren Sharpton (foot/toe) and guard Wade Smith (knee).

The list of players on the injury report that fully participated on Thursday was long. It includes guard Brandon Brooks (foot), tackle Andrew Gardner (knee), tight end Garrett Graham (thigh), safety Shiloh Keo (ankle), receiver Keyshawn Martin (shoudler), cornerback Brice McCann (hip), nose tackle Earl Mitchell (knee) and tackle Derek Newton (knee/elbow).
