Daryl Washington to host Striking Out for Kids Cancer Bowling Classic

After your Christmas celebrations come to a close, perhaps you have the time to either participate in or sponsor something for a great cause.

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington is teaming up with Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher David Hernandez to benefit the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation in a bowling tournament.

The event will take place at Let it Roll Bowl & Entertainment (8925 N 12th St, Phoenix, AZ 85020) on Friday, December 27th, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

The bowling tournament for all ages and skill levels will be co-hosted by Cardinals Pro Bowl linebacker Daryl Washington and Diamondbacks standout set-up man David Hernandez. They will be not only bowling, but interacting with participants, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans/participants.

Net proceeds will benefit the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation. As professional athletes Mr. Washington and Mr. Hernandez, under their impact on the community by giving back to children going through difficult situations. Phoenix Children's Hospital's mission is to provide Hope, Healing and the best Healthcare for children and their families. To inspire and compel the generosity of our community to realize the hopes and dreams of our leadership, physicians, families and children.

Strikes For Kids is a nonprofit organization that partners professional athletes with benefiting youth organizations in their community. Strikes For Kids coordinates these bowling and golf tournaments across the United States. We are thrilled and honored to host our first event in the Phoenix area. The amount of support these events have received has been incredible!

To become a sponsor, click on "Become a Sponsor". Your donation will be recognized at our event in several ways. As a sponsor, your name will be placed on all event marketing materials, pre/post event press releases and banners that publicize the event, as well as announced verbally at the tournament.

To participate in the event and bowl alongside the special guest athletes and your friends click on "Register to Bowl". Registration is $35 per bowler or $175 per lane for (up to) 6 bowlers which include three games, shoes, an event shirt and goody bags.
