Finally, the Arizona Cardinals are being linked with a big name free agent.
The team has been hot on the free agent trail today, looking for the perfect cornerback to compliment rising star Patrick Peterson. They have already brought Jerraud Powers and Antoine Cason in for visits, but it is unknown what each corner is looking for money-wise. Even if one of them is signed, another big name is being linked to the Cardinals and could come in to provide some more talent.
CB Nnamdi Asomugha's potential destinations include Texans, 49ers, Broncos, and Cardinals, per league source.

You may recall, the Cardinals had interest in Asomugha when he became a free agent two offseasons ago. It turned out that he wanted too much money and ended up signing with the Philadelphia Eagles instead.
When used in a system that suits him, Asomugha can still be a very productive player, in my opinion. He excels in press man coverage and would likely be the #2 corner on the Cardinals behind Patrick Peterson. Todd Bowles, the Cardinals' defensive coordinator, has background as a defensive backs coach and could potentially revitalize Asomugha's career.
Coming off a down season, Asomugha could come relatively cheap as well. He originally signed a 5-year, $60 million contract with Philadelphia, but figures to receive less than half of that this time around in free agency.
