Soon after cutting safety Kerry Rhodes, it appears the Arizona Cardinals have already found his replacement. The team announced that they have signed safety Yeremiah Bell to a one-year contract. Bell formerly played for the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.
The @azcardinals have agreed to terms with S Yeremiah Bell and LB Lorenzo Alexander.#AZCards #FreeAgency

Bell has spent time at both safety positions and will presumably fill in at free safety for the Cards, as Rashad Johnson has become accustomed to playing at the strong safety position. Bell played in all 16 games for the Jets last season, but received a negative grade for his contributions in both pass coverage and run defense.
Bell previously worked in Miami with new Cardinals defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles. Bowles was previously the defensive backs coach (which means he worked directly with Bell) with the Dolphins.
The complete overhaul of the roster is now in effect, so keep with us here on Revenge of the Birds as the news continues to seep in.
