The more and more I think about it, the more I believe the Cardinals will end up taking a pass rusher by the time the draft arrives in April. I don't believe the two top tackle prospects in Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher will be available by #7 and the team does not seem interested in taking a QB in the first round. That would leave them with a bevy of options to choose from to add to their OLB core.
One of those options might be Dion Jordan from Oregon. The Cardinals apparently have some interest in him, as they have scheduled a visit with him in the near future.
Dion Jordan/OLB/Oregon official visit list thus far includes Kansas City, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Arizona & New York Jets....

Jordan is one of the top prospects in this year's draft. Some have him going as high as #2 to the Jacksonville Jaguars given their need for some pass rushing talent.
I have stated over and over again in my articles how badly the Cardinals need to upgrade their outside linebacker tandem. Sam Acho and O'Brien Schofield simply did not make enough impact plays and the team relied heavily on the blitz in order to get to opposing quarterbacks.
With Jordan, they could finally land that superstar playmaker that can be a three-down guy and not only rush the passer, but play the run and cover in space as well.
What do you think? Would Jordan be a wise selection if he is still on the board at #7? Tell us in the comments section below.
