Arizona Cardinals minicamp Day 1 images and observations

Look at what there was to see on the opening practice

The Arizona Cardinals had their first day of voluntary veteran minicamp. Everyone but Larry Fitzgerald was in attendance. (He had a previous engagement, spoke with head coach Bruce Arians and all is well. He will be there on Wednesday.)

I was able to attend (the last half, at least) and took a few pictures so you can see how they look in helmets and shorts.

I will have more up on what Carson Palmer and Arians had to say, but the players looked as good as you could expect when they aren't wearing pads.

Observations:

The one observation I could give you was this -- Drew Stanton was not on target a lot, not that there is any reason for concern after one day of practice.

Justin Bethel should have had in interception of Stanton, but he dropped it right at the end of practice.

I had to get used of the new jersey numbers. I saw Jay Feely and thought he was Kevin Kolb. Curtis Taylor wears number 26, and I thought of Beanie Wells.

Matt Shaughnessy saw some time at outside linebacker. Earlier in the offseason, Bruce Arians alluded to that possibility.
